She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. when she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. she carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her:
"There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all that she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise
Proverbs 31:25-31
Mother's Day
A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who live two hundred miles away. As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing. He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother and I don't have enough money." The man smiled and said, "Come on in with me, I'll buy you a rose." He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother's flowers. As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home. She said, "yes, please! You can take me to my mother." She directed him to the cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave. The man returned to the flower shop, cancelled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother's house. Life is too short and every moment is precious. Never miss an opportunity to hug your loved ones, you may be doing it for the last time without realizing.
